What is the 24 Hour Swim Challenge?
24 hours to complete a swim goal of your choice.
Yep, that's right! 24 hours! Each year the Cedar River Complex Aquatics Center hosts this event in December.
You don't have to swim - walking in the lazy river or zero depth pool is absolutely fine too!
Once you are registered you can swim as much or as little as you like. Food, drinks, and prizes will be available during the 24 Hour Swim Challenge. Meet old friends and new ones! Awards will be presented after the final hour of the Challenge.

The 24 Hour Swim Challenge is on -
Saturday, December 14th through Sunday, December 15th (2024).
FAQ: Do I have to stay at or in the pool the entire time? Nope! Participants are welcome to come and go as they please. The goal is to finish your particular challenge before the 24 hours are up.
FAQ: Are there local accommodations in Osage to stay
at if I'm from out of town? Yes! AmericInn and Super8 are within a mile distance of the CRC.
Proceeds help fund ongoing 3rd Grade Swim Safety Programs at the Cedar River Complex. Each year, 3rd grade classes from Riceville Community Schools, St. Ansgar Schools, and Osage Community Schools visit the CRC Aquatics Center and learn about pool rules, water safety, and aquatic based lifesaving skills.
Participation Cost & Finisher Goals:
Swim or walk your way to a one-of-a-kind finish! Pick the goal you would be most interested in completing with the relay event. Registration includes food and drinks, participation fee, and finisher awards.
Add on a t-shirt for $20.00 to any registration!

- The Rookie - 1 Mile - $20.00
- All Day 5k - 3.1 Total Miles - $30.00
- Mt. Everest Challenge - Vertical Climb of Mt Everest - 5.5 Miles - $30.00
- Race to Eight - 8 Total Miles - $35.00
- Hero - 10 Total Miles - $35.00
- Half Marathon - 13.2 Miles - $40.00
- Ultra Swim - 15 Miles - $40.00
- English Channel - 21 Total Miles - $40.00
