FACILITIES MANAGER - 25-30 Hours Per Week


Reports to: CRC Director


Summary of Position:

Responsibilities include daily preventive maintenance, facilities maintenance policies and procedures, along with performance and coordination of custodial duties. Ensures the CRC facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The CRC Complex facilities include the Wellness Center, Events Center, 24HourFit+, and Fine Arts Center.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor supply inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Review supply usage and research effective and economical alternatives.
  • Complies with standards regarding use, storage, and recording of chemicals.
  • Coordinate and perform custodial duties, which may include but are not limited to:
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Empty trash and recyclables.
  • Cleans restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Ensure rental areas are clean before and after events.


  • Able to operate professional cleaning equipment and follow safety procedures.
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, annual cleaning schedules.
  • Work closely with cleaning assistants and volunteers to coordinate performance of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning procedures.
  • Preventive maintenance.
  • Perform routine repairs.
  • Research equipment repair and replacement needs. Problem solves solutions in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Oversee contractors.
  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Schedule and monitor lighting and temperature of rental areas.
  • Assist with and coordinate snow removal, grounds work (trimming, spraying, weeds, raking, etc.).
  • Work closely with staff to set up and take down tables, chairs, and other equipment for various events.
  • Communicates with staff, volunteers, and others through e-mail and phone.
  • Able to project and maintain an annual budget.
  • Active member of the core leadership team.
  • Assist staff with various projects.
  • Other tasks as instructed by CRC Director.

 

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Familiar with OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Experience with professional cleaning and maintenance equipment, including routine maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Able to handle multiple projects and responsibilities at one time.
  • Problem solve and remain calm under pressure.
  • Maintain good relationships with staff and volunteers.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems preferred.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity, including ability to work on a ladder, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Detail oriented.



AQUATICS CENTER LIFEGUARDS - Adult Lifeguards (Part-time)


Reports to: CRC Aquatics Manager


Summary of Position:

Responsible for creating a safe, welcoming environment for members and guests. Lifeguards enforce Aquatic Center policies and provide excellent customer service while working in a team environment. Must be at least 15 years old and be willing to get required certifications offered at the Cedar River Complex.


Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain swimmer safety. Warns swimmers of unsafe activities or dangers.
  • Ensuring CRC Aquatics Center policies are followed.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Prepared to perform first aid and/or water rescue.
  • Cleaning, restocking supplies, and secondary duties. 

 

Qualifications/ Experience:

 

  • Able to complete required certifications (offered at the CRC).
  • Customer service focused.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Able to handle multiple projects and responsibilities at one time.
  • Must thrive in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
  • Able to problem solve on the spot and remain calm under pressure.
  • Minimum age for the position is 15.




KID'S COVE STAFF (SUPERVISED CHILDCARE)


- Part Time: Hours vary per week

 

Summary of position: Responsible for supervising children in the Kid's Cove area, while maintaining a fun, welcoming, and safe playing atmosphere.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills.  Able to positively engage with children, parents, guardians, and team members.

·       Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations.

·       Demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children.

·       Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a time.

 

Qualifications/ Experience:

·       Customer service focused.

·       Excellent communication skills.

·       Excellent time management and organizational skills. 

·       Thrive in a team environment with a positive attitude.

·       Able to problem solve on the spot and remain calm under pressure.

·       Minimum age for the positions is 15.

·       CPR/ First Aid Certified.

·       Babysitting experience preferred.
